بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Here is an email that I sent out almost exactly one year to the day. The only thing that has changed is the storage location on the audio file.

“After the lecture on Friday (6th Safar 1434), I asked Dr Murtaza bin Baksh (حفظه الله تعالى) if he could give some naseehah to the people with regards to the issue of Mawlid an-Nabawee or Milad-un-Nabee (as it is known in the Indo/Pak Sub-Continent).

One of the brothers asked if the following Jumu’ah would take place before that day that is allocated for this occasion. I informed him that it wouldn’t. Then Dr Murtaza bin Baksh (حفظه الله تعالى) said he would talk about it for about 10 minutes.

He didn’t, rather he talked about it for nearly 17 minutes. Here is my recording of that clarification on this issue.

What he does is give some guiding principles.

Be sincere in your seeking to be upon clarity. Listen these principles, understand them. Look at this practice and see if it fits those guiding principles (that can all be found in the religion of al-Islaam).”

May Allah reward Dr. Murtaza bin Baksh (حفظه الله تعالى) immensely for clarifying this issue.

Note: This coming Friday 8th Rabi’ al-Awal (corresponding with the 10th January 2014) Dr Murtaza bin Baksh (حفظه الله تعالى) will be delivering a live lecture on this very subject. It will be delivered at about 1pm (KSA Time).

To listen to it live going to:

www.ashabulhadith.com/live

This lecture إن شاء الله will be uploaded to: www.learnaboutislam.co.uk as soon as we are able.

A Warning to those see an Evil but Remain Silent about it

The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) warned us:

مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يُعْمَلُ فِيهِمْ بِالْمَعَاصِي، ثُمَّ يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَى أَنْ يُغَيِّرُوا، ثُمَّ لَا يُغَيِّرُوا، إِلَّا يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَعُمَّهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِعِقَابٍ

“There is no group of people among whom evil deeds are done in their midst, and they do not change (the evil, by forbidding it) when they are capable, except that they are on the verge of being punished by Allaah collectively.”
